AFTER a year of fundraising the children of Chapmanslade School are enjoying a new piece of play equipment.

A donation of £2,500 from the Fudge Trust helped the Parents Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) reach their target and install a 32 metre long play trail for the kids to clamber over.

Mr Basinger-Adams, the school's head teacher, said: "All the children are thrilled with our brand new play trail and regularly enjoy the challenges and opportunities for creative play that the play trail provides. It is wonderful to see the children at playtimes supporting each other with the challenges and developing their co-operation and social skills, while having great fun together."

The PTFA held events such as a school disco, fetes, a pub night, Mother's and Father's Day gift shops to raise money for the trail and thanked the Fudge trust for their contribution, without which the children would have been waiting a lot longer for the equipment.
