ANOTHER monkey photograph has been discovered in a Frome family album.

This time it belongs to Vanessa Leggett. It is of her son Daniel taken when he was eight months old in 1972. One monkey is sitting at the back of the pram and the baby is holding another one. The photograph was taken at the bottom of King Street on Frome Carnival day.

After leaving school Daniel Leggett joined the army and was one of the first infantry soldiers to go to the Gulf.

He celebrated his 18th birthday there, a fact which was reported in the Frome Standard at the time.

His parents Paul and Vanessa Leggett are mine hosts at The Mason's Arms in Frome.
