A FROME mother and grandmother described as a "warm-hearted and bubbly person" has died suddenly at the age of 49.
Cathy Williams, of Weymouth Road, moved with her husband to Frome in 1996. The couple originally come from Kidderminster and had recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
Mrs Williams quickly became embedded in Frome life as chairman and treasurer of the PTA at Trinity School where her four children Charlotte, now 23, Sam, 22 and 17-year-old twins Harry and Alice were pupils.
She was an assistant at Frome Library for a time and a volunteer at the Dorothy House charity shop in King Street. She was also a teacher for the National Child Birth Trust.
Her husband Jonathan said: "Cathy was a very caring person, always helping people out in a spot. She had the gift of instant friendship."
The family had recently been celebrating the home-coming of Mrs Williams' son-in-law Anton Paulsson who had spent five months in hospital having contracted a mystery illness. Anton is married to Mr and Mrs Williams' eldest daughter and the couple have a 15-month-old daughter Evie.
Mrs Williams died suddenly having suffered an undiagnosed heart infection.
