Frome Town Council will continue to wage war against A-boards.
Despite appeals to businesses to clear advertising boards which straddle pavements, the town centre still has a profusion of them.
Town councillors said pavements are cluttered with the boards, particularly in Cheap Street, and parents with buggies also find it difficult to negotiate Bath Street.
Street furniture, some of which is described as clutter by councillors, is also to be looked at as part of a £20,000 feasibility study into options for remodelling the town centre.
The study will look at a range of issues including pedestrian crossing points, parking, the extent of paved areas, lighting and street furniture.
